Tackling Inter-Ethnic Conflict in Southern Kaduna

JRI produced a report that identified and defined the inter-ethnic conflict in Southern Kaduna. The project, which was funded by Ford Foundation, identified gaps in past research and intervention carried out by different stakeholders. The report also highlighted recommended interventions and policies best suited to ensuring a peaceful Southern Kaduna.

A presentation highlighting key findings and strategies to ensure a much more peaceful Southern Kaduna was presented to key players, such as the Governor of Kaduna, Office of the Vice-President, the
Federal Ministry of Interior, Executive members of the Peace Commission, the Kaduna State Legislative, as well as other key government officials and members of civil society. The Peace Commission used the report to draft policy briefs and other communication documents.

JRI serves as a hub for legal minds, researchers and scholars to carry out legal research, formulate policies for critical reforms, establish institutional structures for effective public engagement and collaborate to design content for capacity development programmes.
