Justice Research Institute met representatives of Luminate Foundation in Abuja on 25 November 2025 to explore areas of possible collaboration. Luminate supports work on civic empowerment, data and digital rights, financial transparency and independent media — remits that intersect with JRI’s research on access to justice and accountable institutions in Nigeria.
Early conversations of this kind establish whether a research agenda and a funder’s priorities align closely enough to justify a formal partnership. Further detail will follow.
Independent justice research depends on funders willing to support evidence-gathering before it yields headline findings, and scoping conversations are where that support begins.
