ACJMC technical session presses for evidence-based reform across Nigeria’s criminal justice system.
Justice Research Institute joined the Technical Working Group on Equal Access to Justice, hosted by the Administration of Criminal Justice Monitoring Committee (ACJMC) at the Federal Ministry of Justice on 15 July 2026. The session examined how data, research, technology and people-centred system design can make criminal justice faster, fairer and more accountable.
Stakeholders evaluated existing reform strategies, identified systemic gaps in the criminal justice chain, and considered how to institutionalise evidence-based practice across federal and state systems. The working group forms part of ACJMC’s mandate to monitor implementation of the Administration of Criminal Justice Act.
